Getting a first Gen Lumia back to life means most the time, the Batterie is deep discharged Ort damaged, so the First question is usually, for how long was the phone not in use and have you Trier to charge it for a couple of Hours? Do you geht any response from the phone, Wehen you‘re trying to start the phone, error Screen, Sounds, or other response?

Hi, my language is English so excuse any errors.
Basically, my 1020 was reset to Windows Mobile 8.1, so I can not log into my MS account (which gives an error when connecting to devicecertificate.windowsphone.com, which i checked with my proxy).
I think I need to root it and upgrade to Windows 10? Otherwise, the phone is working fine.

I wanted to install Netflix on the device, which is why i needed the store login.

The Upgrade itself is no big deal, we have an Update Tool, written by one of our users, the linkage could be found in my signature.
The main Problem at the Moment, our Admin have to unlock your account before you can start... [emoji30]

You dont need an Unlock. Use the Phone Updater Tool and your Lumia 1020 get an Update from WP8.1 to Win10M automaticly.
Sometime Admin but most only a friend.

The PhoneUpdater is the easiest way to get your WP8.1 up to 10M. But you have to do a hartreset after the upgrade so that your L1020 works optimally.
