One of our user created an update tool, which works for several phones available in Germany, i am not quite sure if the HTC One 8 for Windows works as well, but @tourniquet is a really nice fellow and maybe he could give some warm words and help?!

Heya,
if you want to be 100% certain that the Phone Updater is able to upgrade your phone it would be very helpful to provide us with your phone logs. For that you start the Phone Updater (after installing all the needed dependencies), click next. When you are at the Phone Info screen all the logs have been collected from your phone. So you can go into the folder with the long name, there is another folder where the devicelog.cab is in. That is needed for me to check if your phone is compatible or not.
