Firstly, apologies for writing in English as I have limited understanding of the German language. I own a Nokia 1020 (my second one), 32GB Windows phone which I love. It did all that I required in a phone and has the 41MP camera which is great. It runs on Windows 8.1 which is now unsupported and Windows store won't let you download/update apps anymore. I don't want to replace the phone but I believe there is a way of upgrading to Windows 10 (1607) without it affecting the phones performance and features.
I use the phone for making calls, texting, music, the internet and WhatsApp (which is also now unsupported) on Windows phones so I am keen for recommendations of a similar instant messaging service - Viber, Telegram etc

The Lumia 1020 is already a very nice device and I can understand that you do not want to swap it.
An upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile is possible. The best variant is the Phone Updater Tool by @ToUrNiQuEt:

When upgrading to Win10M, the Lumia 1020 unfortunately no longer has the full 41 MP in the camera. If I'm not mistaken, but you can handle this with a Camera App.
There are some alternatives to WhatsApp. What are your friends using? The question is, how can you achieve this after the end of WhatsApp Support?
